Supervised a multifunctional team of 4 (2 engineers, 1 operations research analyst, 1 scientific programmer) to (1) develop application software using mathematical techniques, (2) support manufacturing information system design and implementation and (3) Assess new information technology.

• Inventory management systems for finished goods: Use of SAS/STATS and SAS/ETS.
• Product line assessment. Pruning of product line to identify obsolete product and consolidate production of strategic but low volume products: Use SAS/STATS
.
• Line scheduling systems for various building material products: Use of SAS/BASIC for data interface, C for combinatorial analysis and OMNI/OSL for MIP optimization
• Sales forecasting system: Use of SAS/STATS to implement logistic regression to analyze customer’s response to market promotion. Use SAS/ETS for trend, seasonal and spectral analysis.
• Process analysis and technology assessment for modernization projects in grinding wheel plants; production supervision model of a roofing and fiberglass plant; maintenance management model for insulation plant: Use of IDEF and Saint-Gobain’s proprietary set of CASE tools.
